More than 25 community nurses were recently recognised with the Queens Nursing Institute for Scotland (QNIS) long service award during a celebration event at Lynebank Hospital in Dunfermline.
The event was planned and arranged by NHS Fife Queens Nurses celebrating a collective 591 years community nursing experience. Clare Cable ( Nurse Director and Chief Executive of QNIS) and Nicky Connor (Associate Director of Nursing) presented the certificates and long service awards.
The nurses receiving the awards work across a wide range of services within Fife Health and Social Care Partnership and were recognised and thanked for their long service to community nursing and significant contribution to the NHS in Scotland.
Nicky Connor (Associate Director of Nursing) said “It is privilege to be part of such an inspirational afternoon celebrating the unique contribution and diversity of nurses working in the community in Fife. Community Nurses are highly valued and vital to support high quality person centred care as part of integrated community teams.
