The Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland have announced that testing in Scotland is changing. This is because of the successful vaccination programme and access to new Covid treatments.
Although LFD tests are no longer available in pharmacies, you can still order online at nhsinform.scot/testing or by calling 119, or collecting from test site until April 18th. Ordering online generally arrives quickly within 24-48 hours.
Pharmacies have not involved in the decision making process for LFD tests being withdrawn and the public should note that there are no spare tests for pharmacies to give out, all stocks have been used. This decision was made by the Scottish Government. If you need an LFD test because your workplace requires you to test, speak to your employer about how best to get these.
Throughout April, anyone who experiences Covid symptoms should continue to book a PCR test and isolate immediately.
