Practices who take part will use this session to plan and prepare for the busy winter period. During the afternoon practices taking part will be closed.
These winter planning afternoons will take place on:
- Tuesday 5 December from 1pm until 6pm (view the closed practices)
People who already have existing appointments booked for this afternoon should attend as arranged, unless advised otherwise by their GP surgery.
Please be assured access to urgent care for patients of surgeries taking part will continue throughout this time.
During those hours on the 5 December 2023, Urgent Care Services Fife (Out Of Hours Service) will provide urgent care and support to patients whose practices are closed.
This care can be delivered via telephone consultation, assessment in one of Fife's urgent care centres or a home visit when assessed as being clinically appropriate.
Patients or Community Pharmacies who require to contact a participating GP Practice urgently during the time they are closed for the winter planning sessions should call the Urgent Care Service on 01592 729250.
After 6pm, patients from all of Fife's surgeries can call NHS 24 on 111, as per normal process.
GP surgeries will resume their usual working hours again on Wednesday 29 November and Wednesday 6 December.
