This week marks an important date in the Tissue Viability and nursing calendar.
International Stop the Pressure Day is on Thursday 21st November 2024 and seeks to raise awareness of pressure ulcers and highlight risk and prevention. The theme this year is 'Inclusivity' and for us, this means making sure that people understand our communications to ensure that colleagues, patients and carers can access and understand the information we are providing.
The Acute Tissue Viability team will have an information stand near Costa at the Victoria Hospital all day on Thursday 21st November and will also be visiting as many wards as possible.
Do pop along and visit our stand for more information and to come find out about how we can all help to prevent pressure ulcers.
You will also find more information and a video on the Community Tissue Viability Service page.
