Minister for Finance and Local Government, Shona Robison MSP, visited Fife’s National Treatment Centre for Orthopaedics yesterday (03/02) to hear more about the local efforts to maximise the numbers of patients seen for planned surgery.
The National Treatment Centre at the Victoria Hospital opened in March 2023 and specialises in planned orthopaedic procedures, including hip and knee joint replacements.
The minister spoke to staff about how the facility is used and the ways in which care is delivered for patients, as well as hearing about the plans to maximise the numbers of patients treated within the centre.
