NHS Fife is encouraging individuals to consider applying for two vacant positions on its Board.

Appointment to the Fife NHS Board offers a unique opportunity to help influence the strategic direction of health services in Fife and ensure the voices of local communities are heard at the highest level.

Non-Executive Board members play a vital role in ensuring that NHS Fife delivers safe, effective, and person-centred care to the people it serves.

Two new Board members are being sought, with one required to have expertise in finance, audit and risk, and another to serve as our Non-Executive Whistleblowing Champion.

Applications are welcomed from individuals with a broad range of experience and backgrounds, including those who may not have previously considered a public appointment.

Chair of NHS Fife Board, Pat Kilpatrick, said:

“We’re looking for people who are passionate about making a difference and who are committed to improving health and wellbeing across Fife. You don’t need to have a background in healthcare – what matters most is your ability to listen, challenge, and contribute constructively.

“Being part of the NHS Fife Board is a hugely rewarding experience, and I would warmly encourage anyone with an interest in their local health services to consider applying.”

Applications for the two non-executive positions are open until 3pm on Monday 12 May 2025, and full details, including how to apply, can be found at: Public appointment - Fife NHS board members | NHS Fife.
