Bayview Ward, Balgonie Ward and Ward 6 at QMH have successfully completed a training programme to become certified providers of Playlist for Life.

Playlist for Life is a music intervention based on personalised choices of music which can help to reduce stress and distress in people with dementia.

Michael Timmons from the Playlist for Life charity came to present each ward with a Playlist for Life plaque to recognise their achievement.

Each ward presented a case study of patient who had received the Playlist for Life music intervention. Using music that is personal and full of meaning to the patient can stimulate fond memories and positive emotional reactions.

The photographs show members of the ward team with their Playlist for Life plaque to display in the ward.
