NHS Fife marking World Delirium Day 2017
Think Delirium Awareness Ribbon
NHS Fife is celebrating World Delirium Day (15th March 2017) with a series of events at the Victoria Hospital.
Delirium is a change in brain function, which affects a person’s ability to focus their attention, and can often lead to a state of confusion; it affects around one in four medical inpatients.
One of the main aims for this year’s World Delirium Day is to educate health professionals and patients about delirium and its effects. As such, staff will be at the morning safety huddle, before taking part in pop-up sessions throughout the hospital. There will also be an educational stand at the main entrance.
