Dementia Champions Graduation 2017

On Thursday 15th March, nine members of staff from NHS Fife graduated as dementia champions. They join a group of 710 health and social care staff across Scotland who have successfully undertaken the dementia champions training programme. Dementia champions drive improvements in the care and support of people with dementia and their families and carers - whether this be in a hospital or community setting.

The members of staff graduating are:

Susy Bredbere - Staff Nurse Balgonie Ward Cameron Hospital

Jacqui Cameron - Staff Nurse Balgonie Ward Cameron Hospital

Emma Espie - Charge Nurse Ward 1 Glenrothes Hospital

Natasha Jenkins - Staff Nurse Tarvit Ward Adamson Hospital

Rita Miller - Charge Nurse AU1 VHK

Morag Scott - Occupational Therapist Glenrothes Hospital

Gillian Szparman - Community Staff Nurse Hospital at Home Team

Sarah Verwoerd -Physiotherapist VHK


A further 8 nurses and AHPs will begin their dementia champion training in April 2017.
