QUIET TIME

It is important that your baby gets the rest they need to recover and grow-throughout the day we try and protect babies sleep times and cluster their care when possible. We also have a quiet time

Quiet time is  a period every day between 1230-1400. Lights are dimmed; noise is kept to minimum, investigations and procedures are delayed unless urgently required. Sometimes it is not always possible to hold your baby straight away as he or she may require some assistance with breathing or circulation, the nurse looking after your baby will keep you informed of your baby’s condition. Incubators can be covered to allow the babies to rest and sleep following any medical procedures they may have had that day.
