Reducing the Risk of Cot Death
The cause of cot death is not known. However, you can reduce the risk of cot death by following the guidelines.
*ALWAYS PUT YOUR BABY ON THEIR BACK TO SLEEP, IN A COT, IN A ROOM WITH YOU.
*NEVER FALL ASLEEP ON A COUCH OR A CHAIR WITH YOUR BABY
*NEVER SHARE A BED WITH YOUR BABY IF YOU SMOKE, HAVE DRUNK ALCOHOL OR ARE TAKING ANY MEDICATION WHICH MAKE YOU SLEEPY
*MAKE SURE YOUR BABY DOESN'T OVERHEAT, NEVER WEAR A HAT INDOORS WHILST SLEEPING
*TRY TO BE SMOKE FREE ANTENATALLY AND AFTER BIRTH
