Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)

Cervical Cancer and HPV campaign logo

The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) immunisation programme is a major breakthrough in tackling cancer. The new HPV vaccine helps protect against two types of HPV, which are the most common causes of cervical cancer.

A number of personal stories can be viewed on the fight cervical cancer website.

Here, for example, we can listen to Denise talk about her daughter Shelley's death as a result of cervical cancer.

The website also includes information about the HPV virus and cervical cancer, eligibility information and information leaflets on the HPV immunisation programme.

The videos on the website can also be viewed on the campaign’s cervical cancer and HPV YouTube channel

A presentation with more information can also be downloaded from our resources page.
