Mammogram DVD
Going for a Mammogram DVD
NHS Fife has developed a DVD in partnership with Fife Council Event & Media Solutions, Supported Living Services and South East Scotland Breast Screening Centre which explains what happens when women are invited to go along for a mammogram. A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast taken by a specially trained radiographer.
The DVD takes you through a step by step process and describes the journey of two women who have been invited to go along to their local mobile screening unit for a mammogram. The DVD was originally developed for women with learning disabilities but it is recognised that this resource will be of benefit to anyone who would like to know more about the mammography process, especially women who have never had a mammogram and would like to see what happens before going along for one.
A Copy of the DVD is available for viewing across all Fife libraries and you can also view it below.
