Fife Pain Management Service
The Fife Pain Management Service offers advice & treatment to help people living with acute & persistent (chronic) pain.
We are a multidisciplinary team of Medical, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Pharmacy professionals supported by an Administration team. The aim of pain management is to actively involve you in learning to self manage your pain, and to manage the effect it has on your quality of life. Treatment is patient centred and multidisciplinary which means you will work with two or more members of the team.
What we can do with your help
- It is your efforts that make a big difference and not someone or something else.
- We can help you live with pain by learning tried and tested strategies to deal with the pain in your daily life. Eventually you may be able to live as normal a life as possible despite the symptoms.
- We can show you ways to do this and help you move forward with your life again.
- We cannot offer you a “cure”; we cannot take your pain away completely.
With our support and your committment real benefits can be achieved.
