Resilience is simply our (individually and as an organisation) ability to respond and recover to/from an incident.  These incidents may vary in scale and complexity, and range from small incidents in wards or departments to dealing with severe weather, infectious diseases outbreaks (so-called ‘slow burners) and / or major no-notice incidents (so-called ‘big bangs) such as explosions or transport accidents. We must plan for, and be prepared to respond and adapt to the short and long-term consequences of these various disruptive challenges.

This page is being developed and will contain useful information (such as our Major Incident Plan for example) to help us all to positively respond. to these sort of disruptive events. We’ll let you know when we post something new.
