Strategy & Planning
Strategy and Planning
Our National Health Service has continuously evolved since it was established almost 70 years ago, as have our social care services. Advances in medicines, innovations in technology and huge advances in our clinical knowledge mean that the care we receive today is radically different to that of previous generations.
The improvements made mean that people are living longer, often with complex , chronic health conditions in their later years. This in turn means that demand for services is growing so it is important that we review how we plan and deliver care to ensure we can continue to provide for our growing, ageing population.
This page hosts discussion papers, background research and strategy documents which outline thinking that is informing health policy as well as Fife’s responses to it.
