A test of change commenced on January 3rd and further review of evaluations has resulted in a change in the training being offered across NHS Fife and HSCP. The new structure and format will continue to the end of the year when it will be re-evaluated.
These changes include:
-
Removal of the mandatory e-learning component for clinical staff will who now only attend an annual 2hr face to face training session. This can be booked via Turas:
Adult Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation (BLS/AED) Level 2 - Clinical Staff
Paediatric Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation (PBLS/AED) Level 2 - Clinical Staff
-
E-learning will remain mandatory for non-clinical staff (BLS/AED Level 1). Clinical staff may access as a refresher if they wish to do so between their annual face to face training:
Adult Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation (BLS/AED) Level 1 - Non-Clinical Staff
Paediatric Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation (PBLS/AED) Level 1 - Non-Clinical Staff
