Course Description
This programme is for Healthcare Practitioners band 2 and above and aims to provide the Healthcare Practitioner with the knowledge required to safely and competently remove a peripheral venous cannula.
This programme will support Healthcare Practitioners in their studying, enabling them to work at their own pace while learning about removal of peripheral venous cannula (adults) in the context of their own practice.
It may be appropriate following a patient assessment having been undertaken by a Registered Healthcare Practitioner for removal of peripheral venous cannula to be delegated to a band 2 and above, who has successfully completed the relevant aspects of an NHS Fife approved training programme.
Healthcare Practitioners must successfully complete the removal of peripheral venous cannula education pack.
Prior requirements
The self-declaration form process must be followed for this course.
