Course Description
This programme is for Healthcare Practitioners band 2 and above and aims to provide the Healthcare Practitioner with the knowledge required to safely and competently collect a mid-stream specimen of urine and perform a urinalysis.
This programme will support Healthcare Practitioners in their studying, enabling them to work at their own pace while learning about urinalysis and collection of mid-stream specimen of urine in the context of their own practice.
It may be appropriate following a patient assessment having been undertaken by a Registered Healthcare Practitioner for urinalysis and collection of mid-stream specimen of urine to be delegated to a band 2 and above, who has successfully completed the relevant aspects of an NHS Fife approved training programme.
Healthcare Practitioners must successfully complete the urinalysis and collection of mid-stream specimen of urine education pack.
