Public Partner Volunteer – MCN Long Term Condition Patient Groups

We are looking for members of the public to join our Managed Clinical Network Subgroups - Heart Disease, Stroke, Respiratory, Diabetes and Frailty. We are looking for patients or patient representatives who have had direct or indirect experience of any of these long-term conditions and/or have an interest in this area. The purpose of the groups is to ensure patients or patient representatives are involved in discussions around their long-term conditions, provide the MCN with ideas on how to promote and support long term conditions and other key policy drivers.
Patients that agree to form part of the subgroups will be invited to attend 1 overall patient group meeting per year to provide feedback on their experience.

We would ask that volunteers:

  • Be a resident within the NHS Fife Board area.
  • Have good verbal and listening skills.
  • Can collaborate with professionals.
  • Have a genuine and enthusiastic interest in the NHS and health and social care.
  • Can treat all information in a confidential manner.
  • Can act in a non-judgmental way, with an empathetic and open approach.

If you would like to get involved or have any further queries, please note your interest to fife.vascularmcns@nhs.scot
