How we view and manage pain has changed!
Medication is not the only option. Let’s talk about pain.

If you think you have chronic pain
In the first instance, you should speak to your GP who can determine if any further investigations or specialist opinions are indicated. If further investigations or opinions are recommended, you could consider attending one of the Sore? Know More! sessions available in the community which is presented by clinicians from Fife Pain Management Service (FPMS) to learn more about pain.
Your GP or health professional can signpost you to various resources relevant to your pain condition.
Your GP or health professional will be aware of the criteria for referral into Fife Pain Management Service. If you meet the criteria for specialist support to manage you pain, a referral needs to be completed by your GP or health professional. We cannot accept self-referrals into the service at present.
